Save San Francisco Bay Forty Years on a Hook By Privateer Chaplin

The Historic Anchor-Out Boat Community boats and vessels clean countless gallons of water through the mussels and barnacles on their boats and floating homes filtering the bay and now that they are gone, the seagull population will drop also,  roosting places on boats as well and the Eelgrass also of which is overgrown now and already was and will get worse and so bad that vessels will not be able to navigate through the Sargasso sea and especially motor boats. 

During the summer, algae bloom from the runoff from all the millionaires' homes and gardens, and pesticides and fertilizers. 

    That surround Richardson Bay and will make it stink more than ever, and make the navigable waters more of a maritime wasteland desert with not enough oxygen for the marine life, and the answer is no more building mansions around the bay, and no more eco-polluting yacht harbors that have destroyed most of the Eelgrass and this is why the real estate interests have conspired, with the banks to get rid of the Historic Anchor-Out Community that has been in existence for hundreds of years and as far back as when the historic Privateer and Pirate Sir Francis Drake anchored in Richardson bay first after discovering the opening to San Francisco Bay as described by the Southern Miwok Elders and the book published by the Pacific Asian Press and now out of print called Drake at Olompali, by a Miwok dentist/doctor and direct descendant of Chief Marin, after which the County of Marin was named  and was a tug captain and Mariner also and would have been horrified of what happened to Richardson Bay and its gentrification and those that want to turn it into a showcase artist village by the sea, after destroying the last vestiges of Maritime trades and fisheries and tuning Sausalito into a Disneyland Park after building a Museum, in the future of the way life was in the town that the book by Jack London, who lived there also, called the Sea Wolf. Opening with a true collision between. The Sausalito Ferry, with a freighter and finally, those that want Sausalito, to be an Art Colony are the worst of the worse, like a Galilee Harbor for instance, that was permitted to be a Maritime Harbor and is instead a de facto, artist colony that eventually turned on the Anchor-outs, who were suppose to be a refuge, for the Anchor-Out and working waterfront Maritime Community and it all started with the early sixties Anchor-Out pioneers, who built the first floating platforms and sheds, to work from, because of the price of land and lack of affordable housing and then the artists, with their college degrees came along and bought their floating shacks and turned them into studios, from the high school educated mariners and tradesmen and in turn sold out to the millionaire houseboat community who in turn, turned also on the remaining anchor-out community, from which, they were born. It's taken 40 years for me to move back on land and have running water and shower and band feels so good to wake up in the morning to have clean.  hair again and shower regularly. And the only thing different about having an apartment is to have  close neighbors.Of which I'm not accustomed to and having to be quiet. And especially after ten oclock and It's like living In a monastic community for me wich soots me well To be living in a quiet and upscale community.With a heated pool and an elaborate workout and  gym area, as well as a large open picnic area here at Skylark Apts in beautiful Larkspur California of which I first moved here sixty years ago and have made full circle, back to where I began I 1964, after living in Encino California and then Forestville And don't forget to hit the like.
